Maldives Holiday

An exciting trip to paradise

In October we were able to spend our holidays at the Kuredu Island Resort in the Maldives.
Already the approach to Male, over the turquoise blue water with the atolls is simply fantastic.
Arriving at the airport, you will be taken to your own airport lounge of Kuredu and the sister island of Komandoo, where you will be waiting for the transfer with the watercraft. This flight is a very special highlight. One flies over the breathtaking island world of the Maldives and can not be satisfied with the great colors of the water.

Arriving at the resort you are greeted by the staff with Maldivian drums and can relax under palm trees with a cool welcome drink.
Since it is a barefoot island, it is best to take off your shoes from the port of arrival and will not need them during the entire holiday.
After the welcome by the tour guide you are taken to his bungalow / villa, where the suitcases are already waiting.

We stayed in the first nights in a beach bungalow. The beach bungalows are nicely decorated and have a nice outside bath. From the small terrace you walk a few steps and finds itself on the beautiful dream beach again.

If you want to fulfill the dream of a Maldives holiday and still want to save a bit, the Garden Bungalows are a nice and inexpensive alternative.
They are spread out in the extensive garden area, in which one feels like in a small jungle. They are furnished by the facilities like the beach bungalows.

Small island, but great culinary variety – Full pampering program also with the food

If you are accommodated in the garden or the beach bungalows, you eat in one of the two restaurants Bonthi or Koamas.
For a small extra charge, however, you can also eat at the O-Restaurant or the Sangu-Restaurant, which are normally reserved for guests from the Beach-Villa category.

The food is the same in all restaurants. The four restaurants differ only in the ambience.
The Bonthi and the Koamas are located in the interior of the island and the tables stand in fine sand.
It’s just a great feeling to eat with your feet in the sand.
The O-Restaurant is built on stilts directly on the water, which of course guarantees a beautiful sea view. It also has two relatively large outdoor terraces, where one can eat under the starry sky and with the sound of the sea in the background.
The Sangu restaurant is located on the beach and also has a large outdoor area. Here the tables are located directly on the beach in the sand. Pure romance!

Culinary is generally offered a lot. For an island in the middle of the Indian Ocean, there is a large and high-quality selection of food and drinks.
For every meal there are delicious, exotic fruits, which are nicely dressed in front of the guests’ eyes.
